During this on-going course you will learn how to create this beautiful machine applique cushion utilising and learning how to use lots of stitches on your machine whilst learning how different threads can make a difference to your stitches.
We will be using a book by Deborah Louie called ‘Machine Magic’ which you will need to buy. (Available on Amazon) The cushion is then quilted and then you will have the option to learn ‘Free Motion Embroidery’ to finish off your beautiful project. This is a great scrap buster – but using plain fabrics only!
Finished Size: Approx. 50 x 50cm (20 x 20″)
You will need to know how to competently use a sewing machine but if you’ve never appliqued before, then this is your chance to learn this beautiful and versatile technique which can transform your clothing, bags, soft furnishings and quilting .
Sewing machines are provided in the sewing school but you will need to bring your own equipment with you.
Once you have booked and closer to the date, you will be emailed a list of materials & equipment needed for this project.
Course dates for 2026 are: 26th September, 24th October, 21st November & 12th December.
