This is a great workshop to learn hints and tips on how to sew stretch jersey fabrics. The perfect introduction to sewing knit fabrics on a regular sewing machine with the option to use the overlocker if you prefer.

Make your own Coco Top using the Tilly and the Buttons pattern. This is the perfect Breton top or knit dress with multiple variations. Simple to sew, Coco is easy fitting, with no zips, buttons or other fiddly bits.
A year-round staple that’s so easy to wear, Coco makes a great spring top, summer tunic, autumn funnel neck or cosy winter dress. Designed for low-stretch knit fabrics, the classic style features a boat neckline, choice of top or dress lengths, three quarter length or long sleeves, with side splits at the hips on the top version. Make it your own with optional sixties funnel roll neck, rolled cuffs and patch pockets
Pattern size: 6-20
Some sewing experience is needed for this workshop (ie: you need to know how to use a sewing machine).

The skills you will learn will be how to read your pattern, cutting out, transferring pattern markings, seams and finishes, hems and how to use an overlocker (if you wish). Essentially you will pick up tips on how to sew jersey successfully and you will take a pattern (worth £14.50) home with you so you can make many more at your leisure!

You will need to provide your own materials and tools for this class but sewing machines and patterns are provided. Once you have booked you will be emailed a list of materials and tools needed for this workshop.
