Velvet is a soft, luxurious fabric that is characterised by a dense pile of evenly cut fibres that have a smooth nap. Velvet has a beautiful drape and a unique soft and sometimes shiny appearance due to the characteristics of the short pile fibres. It is commonly used in occasion/evening wear, dresses, crafts and soft furnishing.
