During this one day workshop you will make a fully lined and interfaced ‘Duffel Backpack’ by Mrs H.
The casual yet stylish Duffel Backpack has a drawstring top and an internal zipped pocket. It comes in two sizes with two straps lengths making it a very versatile bag that will meet all your needs.
Small: 9″ x 10″ x 5″ (23cm x 25.5cm x 12.5cm)
Large: 11″ x 12″ x 7″ (28cm x 30.5cm x 18cm)
This class is for intermediate sewers who have sewn before and are familiar with a sewing machine.
Learn about different bag interfacings, how to sew an internal zipped pocket, how to construct a bag with a drawstring opening, a sturdy oval base and adjustable handmade straps.
You will need to provide your own materials for this project, all available to purchase from Nimble Thimbles.
Please note that fabric will need to be quilting weight cotton and not faux leather or thicker fabrics as shown in the photo.
Sewing machines are provided in the sewing school but you will need to bring your own equipment with you.
Once you have booked you will be emailed a list of materials & equipment needed for this project.
