Do you have a sewing machine that’s been hidden under the stairs for years and you’ve wanted to dust it off and get started on some fabulous projects but you don’t have the knowledge or confidence to get going? Or maybe you’ve just got a new machine and don’t know where to start.
Then this class is for you!
Bring your machine along, (preferably with your instruction book) and you’ll be shown how to thread it properly, wind a bobbin, how to use the many dials, knobs, buttons and feet and learn how to set up the different stitches and what they are used for and how to maintain your sewing machine too (if there’s time!).
You’ll go home with a sewn sampler of all the stitches (dependant on how many there are!) and the knowledge of how to use them.
The sewing school also has it’s own computerised sewing machines so if you’d like to use those for the lesson then you’re welcome to do so.
You will need to bring your sewing machine (if using your own) with some thread and bobbins for this class and all your machine feet and accessories.
***Please note that your sewing machine needs to be no older than 20 years old. You are welcome to use one of our machines if that’s the case***
