During this one day workshop you will make the Mrs H Sassy Saddlebag bag with shaped flap and optional flap border (magnetic snap closure), external back slip pocket, internal slip pocket and optional internal zip pocket (medium and large sizes only).
This really is the perfect use anywhere bag and is available in three size options.
Learn how to make handmade handles, slip pockets, a box zipped pocket and how to add magnetic snaps.
Bags will need to be made using quilting weight cotton, as anything heavier will be too thick for the sewing school machines to handle.
Dimensions
Small: Width 23cm x Height 15cm x Depth 7.5cm (9″ x 6″ x 3″) approximately, excluding handles.
Medium: Width 30cm x Height 20cm x Depth 10cm (12″ x 8″ x 4″) approximately, excluding handles.
Large: Width 35.5cm x Height 20cm x Depth 12.5cm (14″ x 8″ x 5″) approximately, excluding handles.
You will need to know how to use a sewing machine.
The pattern is included in the workshop price but you will need to provide your own materials for this project, all available to purchase from Nimble Thimbles.
Some preparation will be required before the class ie: cutting out your pieces and fusing interfacing. There is help in the shop if you need for this.
Sewing machines are provided in the sewing school but you will need to bring your own equipment with you.
Once you have booked you will be emailed a list of materials & equipment needed for this project.
