During this one day workshop you will learn different methods of applique and some decorative stitching on the sewing machine and produce this gorgeous beach hut piece of art which can be made into a cushion, bag, part of a quilt, wallhanging etc at your leisure at home.
Learn machine applique using different stitches, edge turned applique and you’ll be shown reverse applique on the day too. You will also learn about the correct interfacings to use for each applique technique. Finishing off with some machine decorative stitches to complete your picture.
You will need to know how to competently use a sewing machine but if you’ve never appliqued before, then this is your chance to learn this beautiful and versatile technique which can transform your clothing, bags, soft furnishings and quilting .
All materials are included in the cost.
Sewing machines are provided in the sewing school but you will need to bring your own equipment with you.
Once you have booked and closer to the date, you will be emailed a list of equipment needed for this project.
