Make this gorgeous blouse or dress on this one day workshop using Tilly and the Buttons latest pattern called ‘Mabel’. It has a flirty, square-shaped neckline with faux ties, a choice of sleeve lengths with shirring elastic at the cuff and elasticated around the shoulders and can be made with or without the shirring elastic around the waist (Mabel Pattern Hack).
The top is suitable for lightweight woven fabrics which gather easily such as crepe’s, cotton lawns, viscose and any fabric which drapes well. You can see the ‘Mabel’ Top Hack made up in the shop in size 7 (UK Size 18) in a viscose print fabric.

Some sewing experience is needed for this workshop (ie: you need to know how to use a sewing machine and have done a bit of dressmaking before).
You will be required to cut out your pattern pieces prior to the start of the class. This can be done at the shop if you need help doing this especially if you are doing the ‘Pattern Hack’ version.
The skills you will learn will be how to read your pattern, seams and finishes, how to sew the shirring, how to sew a square-shaped elasticated neckline, hems and how to use an overlocker (if you wish). You will take a pattern (worth £17.50) home with you so you can make many more at your leisure!
You will need to provide your own materials and tools for this class but sewing machines and pattern are provided. Once you have booked you will be emailed a list of materials and tools needed for this workshop.
