During this one day workshop you will make the Emmaline Retreat Bag/Pouch with zip closure, metal frame opening and optional internal slip pockets.
Two sizes to choose from.
“The Retreat Bag is a simple zippered pouch with a wide base and a wide structured opening. There is a casing in the top where you insert two wire frames (one on each side), which helps it stay open when open, and helps turn the corners down when closed. It has two optional slip pockets inside and a long zipper that helps it open wide.”
Bags will need to be made using quilting weight cotton, as anything heavier will be too thick for the sewing school machines to handle.

Approximate finished dimensions: Small – 21.5cm x 13cm x 10cm (8.5″ x 5″ x 4”). Large 28cm x 16.5cm x 18.5cm (11″ x 6.5″ x 7.25″)
You will need to know how to use a sewing machine.
This will be a busy day of sewing so please be prepared to be tired but happy at the end of it!
The Emmaline pattern is included in the workshop price but you will need to provide your own materials for this project, all available to purchase from Nimble Thimbles.
Some preparation will be required before the class ie: cutting out your pieces and fusing interfacing. There is help in the shop if you need for this.
Sewing machines are provided in the sewing school but you will need to bring your own equipment with you.
Once you have booked and closer to the date, you will be emailed a list of materials & equipment needed for this project.
