Description

Date: 8th October 2022
Day: Saturday
Time: 9.30am 5.30pm

This is a great workshop to learn hints and tips on how to sew fleecy fabrics on a regular sewing machine with the option to use the overlocker if you prefer.

Make your own sweatshirt using a pattern by Wardrobe. The zip-up sweater is a sporty pullover with a zip from the neck to the chest. The fit is roomy and comfortable with dropped shoulders and side pockets.
The pattern is designed for medium weight fleece, french terry or sherpa fleece fabric (teddy fleece).
Pattern size: 2XS (Bust size 28.5″) to 4XL (Bust size 47″)

Some sewing experience is needed for this workshop as this is an intermediate class and not for beginners.

The skills you will learn will be how to read your pattern, transferring pattern markings on tricky fabrics, seams and finishes, how to insert a zip, how to sew pockets, tow to finish the hem with ribbing or fabric and how to use an overlocker (if you wish). Essentially you will pick up tips on how to sew stretch fleecy fabrics successfully and you will take a pattern (worth £19.50) home with you so you can make many more at your leisure!

You will need to provide your own materials and tools for this class but sewing machines and patterns are provided. Once you have booked you will be emailed a list of materials and tools needed for this workshop. You will need to cut out your fabric before the class but if you need help for this you can do this in the shop with our assistance.
